i’m currently in 10th grade and i have started to look around for potential colleges. i want to be a heart surgeon and i was wondering which college would be a good choice for me (i live in California):
gpa (weighted):4.0
ap’s (so far): 2
sports:none
involvement in school:
-president of a volunteering club
-member of key club
-member of arts club
-in student council for the school
-member of journalism
volunteering:
-hospital (4 hours everyweek for about 1 year now)
-i am leader of a Icommunity center which teaches kids and adults about culture (been going since i was 7 )
community college course:
-speech course (learned how to make good speeches) grade-A
-debate course: grade-A
any suggestions? and which college do you recommend? which courses should i take up in school now
Any UC would be good. If you want to go to medical school, you should go to a college that you know you can succeed in. The key to getting into medical school is getting a high GPA and MCAT score. Where you go for undergrad doesn’t really matter.
Medical schools won’t care about your high school stuff, so enjoy your youth.
