i was looking at a list of degrees and programs offered for community college and this particular school offers both and the description is basically the same so whats the difference?
what are the career differences between being a graphic artist and a graphic designer
they are similar thats why it might seem confusing. g-arts deals with a large gamut of visual arts while g-design is a little more specific ie layout, typography, compostion, etc. an artist might do more traditional work like illustration or fine art creation while a designer will create or work in print, production, and digital work. the truth of the matter is production, do want to make a logo or a painting. there are professional ways to do both. do want to make a website or design posters for movies. again there are professional ways to do both. as far as that class goes you will have to ask the school to explain in detail what the course covers.

well, a graphic artist is someone who draws for comics or books or for movies by hand. a graphic designer is someone who does it by computer, which is easier. if u have any more questions dont bother to IM me and i can explain it to u better. thnks.
