I am 31 years old and have acted in many community theatre preoductions over the last 3 years. I am currently working on a production for Broadway on Stage. What i want to know is what would be my best next step in trying to a job/career in the entertainment field? I have a degree in Business Managment and have taken some classes in performaning arts. I was thinking about retruning to school for my degree in perfromaning arts or maybe even getting a agent. I am working full time right now, how does one keep a job and still work for a agncy at the same time. Can anyone offer me some good advise as to what my next step should be?
You can move to New York and get a job as an office worker, or, waiter.
Or, stay in Michigan and hope the "Broadway On Stage" production, gets picked up and moved to New York.
You may want to come to New York on an exploratory visit, to see how receptive agents are to you, and you, to living and working in New York.
Move to new york. Then get a job waiting tables. Pay your dues. Hustle. Why should you be any different?
