Ive been wanting to become an actor for a long time now. The last play i remember myself being in was a church play when i was in the 1st grade i believe. I havent acted since then, and im going into the 11th grade. I do live near hollywood, id say about 2 hours away, so going to auditions isnt a problem. My highschool does offer a theater arts program, but i have judgemental friends, and if i join the class, i know they will say something negative, so i was thinking about going to classes at a local community college. After that i was going to take some acting classes. Maybe be in some local plays. If i follow this path, what would you say my acting career would turn out? I do want to star in movies/tv one day.
The sooner you start and the more experience you can gather the better. I have been working in theatre at school, community theatre’s and semi-professional theatre’s when I have time, and I am interested in shows. However, Live theatre and TV/ commercial acting are two totally different areas, but experience is experience my only suggestion is don’t worry about what your friends say, if you want to act do it! If they are really your friends they will support you in whatever you want to do.

Hollywood is a tough place, but I think that if you work hard enough that maybe…just maybe you can pull it off. Just know that there will be rejections. If you get rejected, then just get back out there and try again. Never give up!! Follow your heart and do what you want. Don’t let your judgmental friends get in the way of who you are. Be yourself, and if they don’t like you for who you are, then do you really want them as your friends anyway? Anyway, I am not saying that of course you’re going to make it big, but it doesn’t hurt to try right? Follow your heart!

Dreams of Tv and Movies are far over-rated. If you want to do real acting stick to theatre, movies and tv are all marketing and glitz and glamour. Screw what your friends think. If they were true friends they would support you in anything. The main key to acting besides good directing and high energy is natural talent. You have to find what drives your particular character internally and get a good feel of how they react in certain situations. Once you have that down it is all about keeping your energy high and feeling your character. DONT EVER THINK ON STAGE

Before you start, you should know that being an actor is about ten times as much work as people think it is. The upside is that you will be doing something you love, but the downside is that you must dedicate as much time as the owner of a startup business or an investment banker to be successful.
Hollywood is a cruel place. If you fail your screen test, you can almost 100% forget about doing movies.

I can not depict what your path will end up to but if you want to act get involved locally then move up ine step at a time.
