Founded in September of 1993, TeCo Theatrical Productions is an award-winning multicultural theatre company with IRC 501 (c)(3) tax exempt status. Governed by seven board of directors, TeCo impacts more than 5,000 adults and children each year via our seasonal performances and student outreach programs. The specific objectives and purposes of this corporation are to:

provide cultural and artistic opportunities for children and families who live in at-risk communities,

provide instruction in theatre, acting, dance and other art forms,

sponsor special events involving public performances of plays, musicals, dance and other art forms collaborating with community performing arts groups in order to broaden the cultural experience to a more diverse population, and

directly engage in and to facilitate others to engage in the promotion of the arts generally.

TeCo Theatrical Productions, Inc. is an ArtsPartners organization that offers year round arts education programs in our newly renovated Learning Laboratory at the Bishop Arts Theater Center. Our community outreach programs take kids off the streets during the extended workday and place them in a productive, constructive, controlled environment.

November Color Me Silly
An exciting visual arts class that teaches students how to feel

January The Art Of A People
Offers a decorative design pottery workshop for kids to explore their inner creativity through art and education

February “Caribbean Roots Cultural Programs
Interactive program that covers the history, geography, music, dance, art, customs, and traditions of the Afro-Caribbean people and focuses on understanding the cultural connections with the African heritage

March Fun With Shakespeare
TeCo brings Shakespeare to life for your student populations

April Acting Techniques
Instruction in acting techniques, theatre terminology, and performance etiquette

Classes begin at 4PM 6PM, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday in the Learning Laboratory. Tuition is $25 per week and available on a first come first serve basis. If tuition is paid in advance, total price for 4 weeks is $85. Maximum class size is 25, 6 11 year old students only. Class schedules are subject to change.
