First live performance of one of my songs. I played “Catching Me”! Thanks to everyone who came to watch!
Catching Me
You’re like fire.
Easy to find and takes breaths away.
Starts out harmless, can’t say it ends, that way.
Like a fire you burned away my past.
Why did you start out like hope,
Then left everything in pieces,
Like a fire.
Chorus:
If you are supposed to be mine.
Then you would be amazing in my eyes.
Make me breathless,
If we were meant to be,
why aren’t you catching me?
I’m free falling.
Starts out simple starts out easy.
But the crash is, coming sooner, faster, now.
There’s a force connecting us but you,
Have a haunting past.
Why did you start out like hope,
Then walk away holding pieces,
Of me?
Chorus 2:
If you are supposed to be mine.
Then you would be amazing in my eyes.
Make me breathless,
If we were meant to be,
Why aren’t you catching me?
You’d make me think and come up with nothing at all.
But we’d be anything in everything.
Baby, so if we’re meant to be,
Why aren’t you catching me?
Bridge:
If there’s no together,
Then we can’t be the can.
And I know what I should want,
But what I want is haunting me.
Like your green eyes.
Chorus 2:
Dreams catch you unexpectedly,
So do fires, at least dreams don’t,
Leave you in pieces.

The Project intents to encourage the community to participate in habitat restoration events and in a multi-cultural community art project with the aim to create awareness of sustainable environmental practices in North Shore Watersheds and underline these values with the creation of a community public art project. Workshops will be held to develop ecosystem-related images and concepts that will be used to create an installation/mural on an existing site in Heywood Park. The created artwork will be a symbol that supports the concept of protecting the long-term health of the Mackay Creek ecosystem.
