The annual music and street chalk art event takes place in downtown Grants Pass on H Street. This event is provided to our community at no charge. Every year Art Along the Rogue attracts thousands of visitors. This is a weekend of fun, music and art in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon. Every year Art Along the Rogue features nationally-known street painters creating huge pastel chalk drawings on the street along-side regional artists and students from area elementary through high school.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://i.ytimg.com/vi/vhkW5hgV9iE/2.jpg" align="left">The Maine Arts Commission aims to develop stronger ties between cultural, business and governmental sectors with the launch of a new community arts grant. The Creative Communities = Economic Development Grant has a maximum award of $50,000 and is poised to support cultural and economic development efforts that will lead to real change in Maines communities.<br />
Two $50,000 CCED grants will be awarded to Maine communities in the fall of 2010. The grant requires a letter of interest by March 8, 2010, with the full application deadline on October 7 of that same year.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://i.ytimg.com/vi/mHQUxMbC24Y/2.jpg" align="left">A Special Recognition Award was presented to The Community Foundation in Jacksonville which is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Art Ventures Fund. The fund was developed through a matching grant challenge with the National Endowment for the Arts. The fund, to date, has made grants totaling more than one million dollars to individual artists and small and mid-sized arts organizations.  In all 53 grants have been made to emerging arts organizations and 106 grants have been awarded to individual artists.</p>
